my day

Okay so I'm posting this in school in stead of doing work but i really don't have any to do anyway so it's not that big of a deal. In 4 days I will own a Wii and I will do a full report on the system, Wii Sports, and my first Impressions on Legend of Zelda twilight princess. I will be waiting outside of the best buy near my house for a Wii all night on Saturday and in the morning on Sunday(as long as I don't have to work). Eventually i will post a full length review of twilight princess however i figure I will give my impressions when I first get it just for the sake of it since i will say so much other stuff anyway. I am also looking for someone who is buying(wasting their money) on a PS3 and am going to see if they will let me play for an hour so i can get some info on how it is. Otherwise I request that anyone who has decided to get a PS3 and is willing to give me a detailed report on it and the first game they get will be featured as a guest witer for the blog. So now that the formalities are overwith I'm having a good day but I may have just gotten a 2/20 on a math assignment but its no biggie because i think i will still get a C+ for the quarter. I also think I'm doing really well in my English Composition class. Well later I am posting an article about the similarities between a Zune(The new mic rosoft video, music, and picture player) and the well known Ipod Video and Im go ing to figure out which is more worth it if youre thinking about getting one.

Wii, PS3, or (if you still haven't decided) Xbox 360?

Okay I know I just posted the first post but I thought I would talk about some gaming stuff since I didn't really do that in that post. Okay as you could tell from the title I will be talking bout the next gen systems. Now I personally don't much favor the XBOX or the PS3 and love nintendo however I will be as unbiased as possible, and please forgive my if I am a bit one sided.
Tyhe first sytem will obviously be the Wii. The Wii costs $250 and comes with a controller, the nunchuck joystick attachment for the controller, a copy of the game Wii sports( a demo of how the system works but done in a sports manner that includes golfing, boxing, baseball, tennis and one other. it may be a demo for the most part but it does have multiplayer and will probably be very worth it for all people who do not have the money to buy a game with a console right away), a sensor to read up to 4 controllers as far as 5 meters away and a stand for the system itself. It has one SD card port, two USB 2.0 ports, 4 gamecube controller ports, 1 sensor bar port, 2 nintendo gamecube memory card ports and 512 mb of flsh builtin memory. It has the ability to play both Wii and gamecube discs and games can be downloaded from th internet for the NES, SNES, N64. TurboGrafX, and the Sega Genesis(more systems may be announced). currently it is known that games for the NES will cost $1, SNES will cost $5, and N64 will cost $10 while the other systems have not had prices announced yet. Th system will also have a channel based interface where each "channel does different things. The channels include disc channel(allows you to play games off discs), Mii channel(allows you to create various avatars to be used in certain games and in online chats on the wii and can be stored on your remote controller to be transferred to your friends consoles so you can use it at their house(up to 10 can be moved like this)).
Next we go to the PS3. Obviously the price is well known but just incase I will tell you anyway. The PS3 is going to cost $500 for the core system which includes a 20 GB upgradeable harddrive, a Blu-Ray drive, HDMI(High def Multimedia interface) port, and a blutooth controller. The premium version of the sytem will cost $600 and will include all fetures of the core version however it will have 60 GB harddrive intead and will also include a chrome trim, built in Wi-Fi, and flash card readers. The company is promoting the sale of the poremium version by selling considerably less copies of the core version to the retailers so if you do not have a per-order and intend on buying a core version get on the line early because some stores are getting near 6 times more premium than they are core versions. The PS3 advertises full backwards compatibility with the PS and Ps2 however a recent news report has shown that during testing it was discovered that many PS and PS2 games do not work correctly and have Audio and/or video problems when loaded with the PS3. Some people have said that this incudes a toal oe 200+ games on the two consoles together however this has not been 100% confirmed by the company. The Systme like the Wii has a user interface based on doin numerous things and is exactly like the PSp's interface but includes more options. This is a good interface for emulating things on the PSP and will probably be the same for the PS3 so this is one of the many good features that most fans see in th PS3. Of the 3 next gen consoles PS3 has the strongest graphics and has some of the better looking launch games however as we have seen in the past this will not make the system the best in the long run. Like the 360 and the Wii the PS3 can be used to surf the internet and is essentially a gaming based PC that uses your TV and not your computer monitor.
Finally we will talk about the 360. I saved this for last not because it is the best but because it is already out and has many games so it makes sense to talk about it since most info about it is not speculation but instead pure fact. like the PS3 it has two versions and both come with different things. The core version of the system costs $299 and includes Xbox Live Silver, a one month subscription to Xbox Live Gold, the cables for the system and a controller. The premium version costs $399 and includes all features of the core version aswell as an Xbox Live headset, a chrome finish, an Ethernet cable and a detachable 20 GB harddrive. Xbox's biggest draws are the high end graphics, Xbox Live, and the exclusive rights(other than the PC) to the critically acclaimed halo series. The graphics though not as amazing as they were on release are still beter than most things to this date anre still something to be commended on. Xbox Live is currently the best online community out there, though both the Gamecube and PS2 had online features neither compaerd in anyway to the stup of Xbox live when the original Xbox came out and it only got better when they enhanced it for the 360. Xbox Live features an active community and online multiplayer for many popular games. Finally the Halo series can only be found on the Xbox consoles and later this year or next year the long awaited Halo 3 will be comiing out. Halo 1 and 2 were both very popular and Halo 2's online mode made Xbox Live what it is today. The Xbox Live marketplace is also interesting because you can download new games and updates for games you already own. You can even download demos of games that are not out yet. Backwards compatability works perfectly on thw 360 and playing older games like Halo 2 and many others never looked better. One major plus of getting an Xbox 360 is that it has been out for almost a year now and because of this it has a large library already out. By getting a 360 you don't have to deal with the pressure of accidentally picking up a game that sucks because it was rushed to release for launch because most games already have reviews and are well known if they are good.
Each system has it's own things that make it sperate and because of this different reason's would be used for getting each one. The Wii is the system that a hardocre nintendo fan would get because you will be able to play all old nintendo games for a small fee. also if you like innovative features the Wii's incredible motion sensing abilities and new remote style controller make it a must have. The PS3 is for the person who loves high end graphics and doesn't mind shelling out a bit more oney to get exactly what he paid for. Though the price is a little steep at this point the PS3 makes up for it with its amazing graphics and what has become it's catchphrase among gamers "I'ts the cheapest Blu-Ray Player in the world". You should also get the PS3 if your favorite game series are known to be wit Sony, such as Metal Gear Solid, GTA, and Devil May CRy. These and many more are guaranteed to have their next console debuts on the PS3 at least. Finally the Xbox 360 is for the person who doesn't want to take the chance on a system that could end up failing or not being as good as he thought and wants a system that already has strong online community and large game library. If you want to start playing online games right away I suggest the Xbox because you won't have to wait any longer than it takes to get the ethernet cables hooked up. In the ened it doesn't matter who you are as much as what you want from your system that should decide which you get.

My first post

Okay so this is my first post so i will introduce myself. My name is David Silverman. I am currently in my senior year of high school and working on college applications. I love playing video games and I equally enjoy making them. I enjoy watching Anime(a style of cartoon that originated in Japan but is now done in many parts of Asia and rrely in the USA), and reading manga(a style of comics that originated in Asia and is now done in the US aswell). When I get out of college my goal is to work for a video game company and eventually get the money to open my own company. I am currently considered a Level Designer on the mod communities that i have joined but I haven't really made any of my work public and that is what this blog is for mainly. On this blog I will post reviews of video games and guides to the few games that i feel warrant them(rarely does this happenand when it does you probably won't know of or own the game). I also make AMVs(Anime Music Videos(It's when I take scenes from animes and create a music video for it)) and am currently a member of the AMV making group Sysntax error Studios. Well I hope you enjoy my reviews and information and I hope my comments don't offend you but if they do sorry because thats how I feel and I'm not changing my opinion because you don't like it. Enjoy.
